- Prepare the potato dough
In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, egg, flour, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. - Form the bites
Take a spoonful of mixture, flatten it slightly, add cheese in the center, and seal into a thick round patty. - Chill for best shape (optional but recommended)
Place in fridge for 15–20 minutes so they hold better while frying. - Fry until golden
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry each side for 3–4 minutes until crispy and deep golden brown. - Finish & serve
Garnish with parsley and serve hot with ketchup, garlic sauce, or sour cream.
Optional Variations
- Add chopped bacon or chicken bits inside
- Mix in onion & herbs for more flavor
- Air-fryer: 180°C (350°F) for 12–15 minutes (spray with oil)
