Ingredients:

For the Cake:

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

¾ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 ½ cups light brown sugar, packed

3 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup buttermilk

½ cup butterscotch chips

¾ cup crushed toffee bits (like Heath)

For the Butterscotch Glaze:

½ cup butterscotch chips

2 tbsp heavy cream

1 tbsp butter

Instructions:

Prepare the Cake Batter
Preheat oven to 350°F / 175°C. Grease and flour a 9-inch round or bundt pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla extract.

Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk, starting and ending with flour mixture. Mix until just combined.

Fold in butterscotch chips and toffee bits gently.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
