In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the meat is browned and the onion is tender. Season with salt and pepper. Drain any excess grease.
Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared pie dish. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and baking mix until smooth.
Pour the mixture over the beef and cheese in the pie dish.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let it cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Serving Tips:
Top with fresh diced tomatoes, lettuce, or pickles before serving.
Serve with burger sauce, ketchup, or a simple yogurt-based dressing.
Can be made in individual ramekins for personal servings.
