Ingredients:
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
– 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
– 1 egg
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 6 hot dogs
– 6 slices of American cheese
– 6 wooden skewers
– 1 cup flour
– 1 cup milk
– 1 cup breadcrumbs
– Oil for frying
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape each portion around a hot dog. Place a slice of American cheese on each hot dog, then insert a wooden skewer into each one. In one shallow dish, place the flour. In another shallow dish, whisk together the milk and an egg. In a third shallow dish, place the breadcrumbs. Roll each corn dog in the flour, then dip it in the milk mixture, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F. Carefully add the corn dogs to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve the deep-fried bacon cheeseburger corn dogs hot with your favorite condiments and enjoy!
