Crispy Ham & Cheese Rolls
Ingredients
8 slices sandwich bread (crusts removed)
8 slices ham (turkey or chicken ham also works)
8 slices mozzarella or cheddar cheese
2 eggs
1 cup breadcrumbs
½ cup all-purpose flour
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Oil for frying
Instructions
Prepare the Bread
Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
Fill the Rolls
Place one slice of ham and one slice of cheese on each bread slice.
Roll tightly into a log shape.
Seal
Press the edges gently to seal. You can brush a little beaten egg on the edge to help it stick.
Fry the rolls until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Drain & Serve
Place on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve hot while the cheese is melted.
Tips
For extra crispiness, double-coat (egg + breadcrumbs twice).
You can bake them at 200°C (390°F) for 15–18 minutes, turning once.
Serve with ketchup, mustard, or garlic sauce.
