Sour Cream Banana Bread

Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2–3 bananas)
• 1/2 cup sour cream
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then mix in the mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Let cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
